After practicing yoga for many years Heidi’s passion for yoga brought her to her first teacher training in 2009. The 5 month intensive training program included the study of meditation, philosophy, anatomy, asanas, sutras, ayurvedic medicine and the chakra system. As the in-depth training progressed, Heidi made mindful changes in her daily habits and thought patterns which positively awakened her spirit has begun to transform her life. She strives to bring more balance and unity into her students lives. Heidi has a detailed understanding of the subtle body components of practice, their therapeutic application and how to apply these teaching techniques.

Heidi teaches from her heart. She encourages her students to respect, love and honor their mind, body and spirit. She’ll guide you through gentle warm ups, and a combination of Iyengar, Hatha and Ashtanga/Vinyasa styles of yoga to create a union between breath, movement, and building strength. Heidi’s clear vocal delivery, intelligent guidance and transitions, make her classes are enjoyable, challenging and easy to follow. Whether it’s sustaining hold in a pose, or feeling empowered to try something new, the class environment is safe and non-competitive. Use of simple adjustments encourage each student to improve and deepen their practice.

Heidi is a Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance. She continues to build on her education by taking additional trainings and monthly lessons with her diversely experienced training instructors. She endeavors to deepen her practice every day and is eager to bring the benefits of yoga to you.
